Welcome to the Reg Day Memorial Museum Website. One mans tribute to all those that passed through RAF Dunsfold from 1942 onwards. From Mustangs to Harriers.PER ARUDA AD ASTRAWE WILL REMEMBER THEM |
Tread
softly o’er this hallowed turf and lift your eyes to
the rolling Surrey hills, look around you, and think of all the young
men that passed through Dunsfold during WWII for this was a
battlefield. 98, 180 & 320 (Dutch) squadrons operated from Dunsfold with B25 Mitchells as part of 2nd tactical air force and 50 to 60 B25’s were dispersed along the south side of the airfield. For operations 36 would take off and form into 6 boxes before setting course for the continent. So remeber those that did not return and be grateful. Per Aruda ad Astra |
